"Maybe" . . .

We are getting ready to get Eth off to school today, and I was making his lunch. It is a little bit of work to get him ready. . . or I should say to get him to get himself ready. So before we leave I ask him "Do you have your lunch in your bag?" He answers "Yes" so off we go loading all four kids in the car, and then picking up one other on the way.
We are pulling up to the school when he says "I forgot my lunch!"

"Well I guess you are eating hot lunch today"

"Will you bring me my lunch and drop it off?"

"Maybe"

His friend says "Whenever my mom says maybe that means No."

I say "I will bring you your lunch and drop it off."

I think that maybe really means no at our house too. Kids are smarter than they seem. I think the only reason I agreed to bring his lunch is because his little friend called me on it. Dakpan ko na!(I was caught)

  2. P.S. I love that pottery barn kitchen that you found! I don't have that talent like you do and I live in the bubble where you don't find amazing stuff all the time!

  4. Okay...when I read your blog I feel like we're hanging out in the afternoons, just awaiting for naptime to come again. Ahhh, those were good times.

Our blog is clhungerford.blogspot.com. We got a couple creepy comments, so the blog is private, but I'll send you an invite in a sec. It'll be an email that comes from Laura & crew.

  5. Nine times out of ten, maybe means "No" at our home as well.

  6. When I say "Maybe", Kailer says, "maybe means yes". And he is right, when I say maybe, I mean yes. So "maybe" won't work for him at your house. Jessica
