Angry Eyes!

I am trying to hide angry eyes today, but am totally failing. kayzer did his classic breakfast . ...spill the entire bowl of cereal on mom's newly mopped floor. . . which was totally okay(the first time) because I got this great new mop and floor cleaning stuff from home depot that I LOOOOOve. So after lunch H and squid are having choc. milk, and apparently H didn't get enough (big surprise, can you see my surprise?), and I hear liquid running all over, splashing, dripping, and splattering. You betcha! one half gallon O' milk all over. . . I know, I know, don't yell. . . but the angry eyes couldn't be restrained. I have serious anger issues over spilt milk, lame I know. . . especially since they were warned on the first attempt to not attempt alone, since the jug was full. Can I get a refund on listening ears?

I will get off my ranting and move on. . . to mop the floor( the majority of the floor) again for the third time in 12 hours. . . UNCLE!! and I wonder why I despise housework. . hmmmm

zombieeee tv

Heaven forbid, they actually sit to watch the TV. . . I was cracking up at their proximity and their cluster, and of course their complete oblivion to anything else in the room. It must have been a great cartoon, ha ha.

we usually refer to the noggin channel as zombie TV, especially for the younger two. If you need to get something done, it can save you in a pinch. . . don't get me wrong . . . I am so not a believer in the TV babysitter. We try to monitor TV time, but it still baffles me how they can get so entranced. No wonder there is no brain activity when you are watching it.

paintabulous!

I have so not been a blogging mentality lately thus no picture of the culprit. . . we were sitting in the family room last night talking with friends while McKay was in the pantry looking for balloons. At least that is what I thought he was doing until he walked out covered in paint. He got a tube of craft paint and painted some piece of wood that were next to the paint (just like mom does right?) and he smeared it on the floor . . . then walked through it, and made the most adorable yellow footprints right up to the kitchen table. His new church pants were covered. I tried to take a photo, but when my card was full I said forget it, and just worked on cleanup. Thanks to Rochelle scrubbing , his pants may be salvaged. . . we will see.

I was tempting fate by leaving my paint where I did. It is mostly my own fault.

albertson's again??

Heather this blog is for you!!! I spent $64 on 88 items, and will be going back since they were out of the kids favorite cereals due to the flooded I5 situation, apparently the trucks were stuck in Portland. I still have my $15 from my last purchase to put towards my next so I am stoked. I found coupons at http://www.pillsbury.com/, and http://www.bettycrocker.com/ and more at http://www.eatbetteramerica.com/coupons/ I looked at the add and then googled the coupons I was hoping to find. I use a site called http://www.afullcup.com/ to share and find out about deals at different stores, they also have a great coupon resource to look up the location of specific coupons. I buy exactly $30 worth of sale items, and then use the $15 back for the next transaction. It has to be $30 before coupons, so after coupons my total on my first transaction was $20, and they gave me back $15. On average each $30 transaction cost me $10 out of pocket. I didn't even use a coupon for every item. My friend Kanani is great about posting the latest deals on her blog http://www.couponitis.blogspot.com/
This sale ends at albertson's tuesday, tomarrow, last time they did it again the next week so keep an eye out for possible continuation.

I love this sale. Perfect for food storage. . .

Recovering. . .

Christmas was a huge whirlwind, or maybe just December, but I feel like I am just barely pulling things back together. We had a white Christmas which is very unusual for this part of the country, but it was great. I loved the brightness of the snow. Matt even pulled out his snowboard and made a trek down the trail across the street from us. It was pretty funny. He decided it wasn't worth it for that short of a ride, but hey you gotta give it a try.

I painted the downstairs ceiling because I can, and wanted to have it bright white instead of beige. I know it is petty, but anything to make it seem lighter and brighter is my obsession. It took me much longer that I anticipated. . . it is definitely more difficult to paint above your head versus the wall in front of you. . . thus I have soooo much work still to do. My project was to paint the ceiling, caulk trim and paint it, and then paint the entry way and front room walls. I have a ways to go. Come on over and I will put you to work . . . ha ha!

But hey, it is winter, and everyone knows I start projects really well . . . now finishing is another story. I totally blame that on child induced adhd, Rochelle's blog entry said it the best, and I can totally relate click here to find out all about it. I am totally fine with blaming my lack of ability to accomplish something on my kids hehehehe!
