science project

So I am a procrastinator in some things, and not in others. School projects are a definate procrastinated thing in my life, and unfortunately I have passed this on to my son. Tomarrow is the science fair. Are we done yet? No! Have we started? Yes. Do I have the foggiest idea how to get my son to do the project? No! Am I questioning my logic when I agreed to let him sign up? . . . No. Its good for us regardless of how stressful , right?

Did I try to take pictures to put on his project board? yes. Luckily we can still bring stuff in the morning to school so we have a fun family project in store for tonight. Yeah!! Here is Ethan in his science project debut.
The challenge was to build and egg drop out of toothpicks, Popsicle sticks, straws or glue. Or all of the above. so far we got straws and glue and we ran out of straws. Matt is picking up supplies on his way home from work. They will be dropped from a ladder, and all the survivors get dropped from a helicopter. To quote Ethan "' It looks like trash falling out of the helicopter". To quote Mom "Essentially it is". Hehehe
We will let you know how it goes. Until then we will get pack to gluing. toodles!

SNOW DAY #1

Okay so I know everyone has been bombed my the snow this year, except for us. But last night it started snowing here, and kept snowing, and we woke up to a late start announcement for school because of our skiff of snow. So we are excited and the kids have been playing in it every minute they can. So I guess officially its only a half snow day, but hey we take what we can get. We were full on headed into spring with tulips and daffodils, and got our first super snow of the winter, crazy.

The picture on the top was last night when it started to the kids hustled to get out for snow experience, and then we woke up to it snowing still and five inches was unheard of for our area. The kids ate breakfast and went out again, and have been playing in it for hours.

So while some of you may groan at the thought of another snowstorm, we are living it up here in the pacific northwest, wahoooooooooooooooo!!!

walking in someone elses shoes for the day. . .

You could imagine it might be quite difficult to get around in this state. Mckay is actually quite proficient. If I knew how to put video feed on this blog, I could show you. But nonetheless I am still learning, thus, you will have to wait until I am the master of the blog, ha ha. (that was my evil laugh). We also have an unbelievable clip of mckay as a baby feeding himself froot loops with a straw that he picks them up with. Talk about eye hand coordination, watch out. If it sounds like I am bragging about this child, I am, he is brilliant. end of story.

Freezing our Buns off at the Beach

Yes we went to the beach and froze our buns off, But it was fun and the kids got soaked playing in the water. They love it even if they were turning blue. There was frost on the ground this morning , but we went anyway. Sand is sand, and water is water regardless the temperature.
Do You Think Grandpa looks cold?????? He didn't know I was taking this picture, I zoomed, hee hee.
Congrats to Kassie, our baby sister, who found out she is having a boy for her first. I bet Shad is thrilled. What a new and exciting time for your family. We are so happy for You. When Are you going to join the blog world???????? You need to show off some of your photography. I would love to see some.

Easter Eggs

So Diane and Helen dyed Easter eggs with the kids. Funny enough, we haven't done it for a few years, so they thought it was the best thing ever (I have been a slacker in years past). So I have a question. . . "Where did the Easter Bunny come from?" How did we get a Bunny from the Atonement? Just wondering, if anyone has the answer I will listen.
We have early church so we let the Easter bunny come Saturday morning, that was the greatest thing ever. I am so glad we didn't do it before church.

He begged I Delivered

Much to the chagrin of My Husband when Mckay threw a fit to wear Sid's dress. . . I let him. Looks lovely doesn't he?
