So she did it! First try with little help. . . she has officially ditched the training wheels. She has some crazy balance skills that she probably didn't get from me. I was pretty amazed she just took off.

So far potty training is still in #1 place for the hardest thing you will have to do with small children.

Do you like what the neighbor across the street is doing with his grass??? awesome right??? I would go mow it but I have nowhere to put the grass until we get a yard waste container. . . oh the joys of living in a planned community with close neighbors.

Sorry, I couldn't help but do a "what is wrong with this picture?" post. I was driving the other day with the camera in the front seat with me at a stop light, and saw this. . . I was laughing so hard to myself. . . obviously not something you see everyday. The kids in the back wanted to know why I was laughing, and I couldn't bring myself to share it with them, but I will share it with you. I apologize if anyone finds this offensive or if you are friends with them. . .ha ha.

aaahhhhh the New Year!

Christmas break was soooo great. . . I really needed it. I feel renewed and ready for life again. I feel good even though it is grey and rainy. . . I am trying to get my house organized one small step at a time. It really does make me feel more in control of my life when things are in order. I read a good tip in a magazine about organizing one thing a day. . .such as a kitchen drawer or a closet, etc. By the end of the month that is 30 things and that is progress so that is what I am aiming for with baby steps.

I also joined a volleyball league for the first time in six years. . . I think it will be good for me. I really do love playing sports and it makes me happy. It should be fun, we start this week.

Each year I try to be happy for my wonderful Husband whose birthday falls just before Christmas. I have tried to talk him into celebrating it in the summer when it would be lots more fun. . . ha ha. . . but I feel for all those who have birthday's landing near the most major Holiday of the year. . . And I feel much more for those who are responsible for making it special and standout. . ish next to the whopper of Christmas. It is pretty difficult to not use Christmas wrapping paper to wrap the Birthday Gifts. . . after all I am a total creature of comfort and convenience. . . and to be honest . . fairly burned out as Christmas nears. In my defense I did wrap his gifts in non Christmas paper this year. . wahooooo!

So enough about the woes of me. . . since this day isn't about me. . (Grin)

Today we Celebrate the man who loves my children and I unconditionally, the one who tries to have great faith and lead and teach his family to be moral and Christlike individuals, the one who delights in knowledge, and is a light in the room to be with.
